You’re looking for a space where you can be messy, grow, and make change.
Maybe you’ve spent years getting really good at holding your life together, without ever feeling safe enough to play, explore, or just exist without something to prove. You can do that here.
I’m Mina Beveney (she/her)
— and I think most people are more resilient, and more resourceful, than they give themselves credit for.
I’m an incredibly curious person: about myself, the world, and other people. I also believe most things are better said directly than said kindly-but-dishonestly. That belief hasn’t always made my life easier — especially in moments when I just wanted to fit in.
That view hasn’t changed. But doing my own work has taught me to hold it alongside compassion, and I’ve seen professionally how much that compassion means for people who haven’t received much of it. Sometimes that may look like me responding with an “ooh, girl, that sh*t sounds rough” — I swear sometimes, and I welcome clients to do the same in the therapy space if that’s more them.
I bring all of that to this work: I know what judgment feels like, I’ll challenge you enough to grow, and I make room for all parts of you — even the ones you’d rather not show anyone. This can be a place where you fit.
I came to this work through my own struggles and my own therapy. I’ve felt disconnected from myself — including the parts of me tied to pleasure, desire, and how I show up in relationships. I can be nerdy and easily excitable, but not everyone gets to see that side of me.
I’ve worked to build more access to — and expression of — the pieces of me that aren’t required for survival, but are necessary for feeling whole. I believe that’s possible for you too, whatever message you got, wherever it came from, about which parts of you were allowed to take up space.
